Assessment with Youth and Families

Description

This course aims to provide learners with a foundational understanding of the assessment process. Providers will learn the best practices of assessment and how to collaborate with families throughout the process. Through three modules, learners will be introduced to strategies for engagement and relationship building, multiple forms of assessment, and the goals of case conceptualization. Learners will also be asked to practice and reflect on their own practices through family-centered role-play exercises. This module aims to better prepare providers to partner with youth and families through all phases of assessment, leading into treatment.
